Ancient Egyptian Artifact: King Tut's Death Mask Presentation and Reflection

King Tut's Death Mask Presentation and Reflection

Reflection

Q: What artifact did you choose and why did you choose it?
A: I chose King Tut's Death Mask because there was a lot of information on it.

Q: How did you go about making your artifact? (Plan, supplies, steps, etc.)
A: I bought a mounting board, a cardboard face mask, and paint. Then I cut out the shape of the head dress, laid out the mask on top of the it, and used crafting glue to stick bits of paper and toilet paper on the mask and head dress. After that, I let it dry over night. When it was dried, I painted the whole thing gold. After the paint dried, we painted blue stripes onto the death mask. While waiting for everything to dry, I made the base and the stand out of paper towel roll holders and drumsticks, and then I painted the stand gold. I painted the face features and the snake once the paint on the mask dried.

Q: What obstacles did you face with your project? How did you overcome them?
A: An obstacle I faced was that my speech wasn't really well ordered, but i overcame it by organising my facts and re-writing my speech.

Q: What did you learn about yourself in this project? In other words, what will you "take away" from this experience?
A: From this experience, I learned that I should speak more clearly and confidently in presentations like this.

Minute Scores

This graph tests my general math knowledge. It indicates that my minutes are mostly correct.

Science Reaction Times Experiment

Science Reaction Times Experiment

HYPOTHESIS: Our dominant hand will have a faster reaction time than our non-dominant hand.

The purpose of our experiment was to test wether our dominant hand has a faster reaction time than our non-dominant hand. I think that our dominant hand would be better at reaction times that our non-dominant hand because we use our dominant hand much more than our non-dominant hand. We conducted an experiment and tested it by dropping a ruler in between your index finger and thumb and calculated how far the distance was from the zero to the highest point where we caught it. We were collecting quantitative data because we needed the measurements to test our experiment. Our conclusion is that our dominant hand has a faster reaction time than our non-dominant hand.

Pictures

You will need a rubber band and a ruler

Put the rubber band on your fingers as seen in picture, and hold the ruler above your partner's hand as seen in the picture.
Release the ruler whenever you want. Record where the highest part of the thumb is at (Example: 15 cm).

Based on our conclusion, our dominant hand has a faster reaction time than our non-dominant hand.

P.E. Health Fitness Project: How to Improve on Push-Ups

Something that worked well for my group is that we distributed the work so that everyone does an almost equal amount of work.
I learned that people should push themselves to do their best.
We could have done better at planning the movie.
