Ancient Egyptian Artifact: King Tut's Death Mask Presentation and Reflection

King Tut's Death Mask Presentation and Reflection

Reflection

Q: What artifact did you choose and why did you choose it?
A: I chose King Tut's Death Mask because there was a lot of information on it.

Q: How did you go about making your artifact? (Plan, supplies, steps, etc.)
A: I bought a mounting board, a cardboard face mask, and paint. Then I cut out the shape of the head dress, laid out the mask on top of the it, and used crafting glue to stick bits of paper and toilet paper on the mask and head dress. After that, I let it dry over night. When it was dried, I painted the whole thing gold. After the paint dried, we painted blue stripes onto the death mask. While waiting for everything to dry, I made the base and the stand out of paper towel roll holders and drumsticks, and then I painted the stand gold. I painted the face features and the snake once the paint on the mask dried.

Q: What obstacles did you face with your project? How did you overcome them?
A: An obstacle I faced was that my speech wasn't really well ordered, but i overcame it by organising my facts and re-writing my speech.

Q: What did you learn about yourself in this project? In other words, what will you "take away" from this experience?
A: From this experience, I learned that I should speak more clearly and confidently in presentations like this.

6th Grade Boot Camp Reflection

6th Grade Boot Camp Reflection

6th Grade Boot Camp was interesting because we learned about what we should and shouldn’t do on/with our laptops. For RLA we made our avatars and a page for our About the Author. In P.E., we learned how to use our laptop and made a presentation on that. In Science, we learned how to take care of our laptops, and we made a Pages poster about that. In Science, we also learned how to use the printer. Overall, 6th Grade Boot Camp was a great learning experience.

Frog Linoblock Print Reflection

These are my Frog Linoblock Prints inspired by Claude Monet. I think that the rightmost frog print is the best print because all the lines showed up well in the print. I think the one that didn't turn up well was the other green one because some of the lines didn't turn up well. The hardest part of this project was the carving part because it was hard to find the right carving too and make the lines almost perfect.
